Stereoscopic 3D Animation for AMC
Client: Amsterdam Medical Centre
Amsterdam Medical Centre (AMC) asked me to create a stereoscopic 3D animation explaining a type of heart surgery to their patients. This would be integrated in a VR experience they created on the subject, they felt a clear stylized and simplified stereoscopic 3D visualization of the procedure would be the best suitable way to explain it. Using a somewhat simplified and stylized visual style for this animation made it not only a lot more easy to understand, but also took away the very physical / bloody aspect, which does not add anything but possibly may influence viewers to feel less comfortable and pay less attention to the essential message which is the explanation of the functionality.
